We finished the day in the 12th qualifying position. The 1st run today, we shook the tires loose, and the second run we ran a 4.22. So, our 4.15 @ 303 MPH from Friday was our best for the weekend.
Rahn and the whole Advance Auto Parts F/C team are being patient and staying positive till we get back to our consistency.
We’ll race Matt Hagan in the 1st round tomorrow. The weatherman says rain, but we’ll see.
Thank you all for logging on & we’ll give updates throughout the day tomorrow.

Wow, we have California weather here in Atlanta…it’s awesome, like 72 degrees!
On the 1st run today, the car launched hard but spun the tires just before half track. Our 2nd run was much better, a 4.15 @ 303 MPH which places us in 7th for now.
It’s great to finally get a solid run in on Friday. It’s not #1 but it was a nice smooth run without any tire shake, which is what we’ve been chasing.
We’ll now work on being steady & constant Saturday with 2 qualifying runs down & 2 to go.

Qualifying is a wrap!
We finished up in the 8th position. On that last run, Rahn decided to run one of our new surperchargers (blower), to see how it would perform, and let’s just say it’s strong!
That’s it for now from LV…
Good night now!!!

We’re 4th after the first and only session of the day!!!
Between the rain delays & high winds, NHRA officials decided to cancel the second scheduled run yesterday. Not a bad call safety wise, these cars accelerate like no other on earth, so 40-50 mph winds are not something you wanna mess with!
One things for sure, Rahn & the team were really fired up about that run! The first usually sets the tone for the weekend & that’s exactly what we’ve needed.
More after today’s runs…..

A 4.075 @ 301 MPH moves our Advance Auto Parts/Toyota into the #1 spot!!!
We’ll go up against Bob Bode tomorrow in Round 1. Rahn & our team are back in the groove & we’re looking forward to going rounds tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be warmer so the team will have to make some adjustments but I’m sure they’ll make the right decisions.
Race day will be exciting, there’s a lot of good match-ups. If you can’t make the race, you can listen live on NHRA.com or catch the race on ESPN2 @ 4:30 pm EST.
More updates tomorrow…

Hey Everyone!
We only got one run in yesterday & we shook the tires. It started raining after Q-1 & didn’t stop so they finally called it about 8pm.
Q-2 today was better for us. We smoked the tires but the car launched like a rocket! :) I felt a lot better about that run. I’m confident that Rahn & the team will make the right adjustments to move us up in the field.
More after Q-3…

A 4.22 @ 290 MPH, still not what we were looking for, but we’re in the field at 15th. I’m not sure where we’re missing it but I’m sure Rahn & team will figure it out.
We better because we’re going up against #2 qualifier Ashley Force & in that last run she ran the quickest time of the session, a 4.12!
The key for us is to keep doing our thing & we’ll be ok.

Great to be back racing again after a couple weeks off!
Our first Friday run was a 4.28 @ 284 MPH. The track temp is about 105 degrees so that wasn’t a bad run. It wasn’t great because it dropped a cylinder out at the start of the run. We’ll fix it & come back @ 3:30 EST & try to get back in the top 8!
Thanks…back soon!

Solid day for our team, with a 4.13 in the heat of the day.

Nice day yesterday, low 80’s & decent track conditions. We finally made the run we’ve been looking for, since that rainy weekend in Pomona a couple weeks ago.
Our 4.16 @ 297 mph got our Advance Auto Parts/Toyota Solara in the 12th spot. Not bad, all things considered. (No pre-season testing & only 2 total runs in Pomona.)
We’ll get 2 more shots today & try to move up. For Rahn & our team, it’s now just a matter of getting more & more runs under our belt to get back in our groove.
Thank you all again for logging on, we’ll be back later today with more updates from Firebird Raceway here in sunny Phoenix, AZ.
